Bio Regenerate developed a proprietary technology to generate therapeutic quantities of stem and progenitor cells from one unit of adult peripheral blood (BRGTM cells). This cell composition, which contains all lineages of stem and progenitor cells, has significant advantages over purified populations of stem cells, for regenerative medicine applications.
Based on the BRGTM platform technology, the company is developing its first therapeutic product for treatment of cardiovascular diseases and planning to submitt IND for its first clinical study in 2009. Additional therapeutic applications will be developed in the future.
Bio Regenerate is registered as a Delaware, US Corporation, with R&D laboratories at the Sheba Medical Center in Israel. The founders, Dr. Avi Treves and Prof. Arnon Nagler, are leading scientists and industry experts in the field of stem cell therapy. Additional founders are Tel Hashomer Ltd. (the tech-transfer company of Sheba Medical Center) and a seed investor.
